You have the option of selecting the following:

Read/Execute:       

Normal default setting for ASP, ASP.NET, PHP as well as regular HTML pages.

Write:                                 

Setting used for uploads, image galleries, document sharing folders, etc.

Database Directory:      

Setting for MS Access databases. Also allows OS to write to the

database; however disables anonymous access so no one is able to

download your database without administrative permission.

Password Protected:

Setting which prompts visitors for a password.
